Stronger Kent Communities
CHBVC is a consortium member of Stronger Kent Communities whose remit is to support the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise sector in Kent. Alex Krutnik, the Director of CHBVC, is also the chair of Stronger Kent Communties (SKC). SKC offer a whole range of services in regard to: Volunteering Training Funding Networking Community Events. The National Lottery Community Fund, is a non-departmental public body responsible for distributing funds raised by the National Lottery for good causes. Since 2004 it has awarded over £6 billion to more than 130,000 projects in the UK.
Canterbury City Council
Canterbury City Council provides district council services to 160,000 people living in Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable and the surrounding villages.
Kent County Council
Kent County Council governs most of the county of Kent in England. It is the upper tier of elected local government, below which are 12 district councils, and around 300 town and parish councils. The county council has 84 elected councillors.
Kent Community Foundation
Kent Community Foundation is part of a national network of 46 Community Foundations committed to improving the lives of local people and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, isolated and disadvantaged.
The Henry Smith Charity
The Henry Smith Charity, works to combat disadvantage and meet the challenges and opportunities facing people in need throughout the UK. It is amongst the largest independent grant makers in the UK, distributing over £31 million in 2018.
